The NJ Devils met the Anaheim Ducks in the 2003 NHL Stanley Cup Finals, taking down their Western Conference opponent in a hard-fought seven-game series for the franchise's third championship in less than 10 years. Hall of Fame goaltender Martin Brodeur led the Devils to his third league championship, shutting out the Ducks in three of the team's four wins. The series marked the third time in NHL history that the home team was victorious in every game, and the second time that the title was clinched in New Jersey.
In their 2022-23 matchups, the Devils and Ducks faced off in 2 games. The Devils won both games, one home and one on the road. Their first face off of the season resulted in a 4-2 home victory against the Ducks. In their second face off, the Devils won on the road with a 6-2 victory over the Ducks.
The Devils and Ducks met in two contests during the 2023-24 season, with the Ducks taking both wins.
The Devils and Ducks split their 2024-25 season series with one win each. On October 27, the Devils defeated the Ducks 6-2. Their second game of the season was December 31 in Anaheim, resulting in a close 3-2 Devils loss.
