Devils vs. Sabres History

In Game 7 of their 1994 Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series, the New Jersey Devils took down the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 behind goals from Bruce Driver and Claude Lemieux. The Devils would go on to make their first Eastern Conference Final appearance that year, and win their first Stanley Cup Championship the following year in 1995.

Looking back at the 2023-24 season series, the Devils beat the Sabres 2-1. In their first matchup, the Devils defeated the Sabres on October 27 at home. On November 15, the Devils defeated the Sabres 7-2 with six different goal scorers. Buffalo bested New Jersey in their final matchup of the season on March 29.

The 2024-25 season begins with back-to-back games between the Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils. The Devils and Sabres participate in the 2024 NHL Global Series in Prague on October 4 & 5.
