In the 2023-24 season, the Devils visited the Flames on December 9, resulting in a 4-2 win with goals from three different Devils. Their second matchup of the season on February 8 resulted in a loss for the Devs.
The Devils and Flames played each other twice during the 2024-25 season. Their first matchup of the season on November 1 was on the road in Calgary, resulting in a 3-0 Flames win. The Flames traveled to Newark to face the Devils at home on March 20, taking the win over the Devs in a 5-3 game.
The 2025-26 season featured two matchups between the Devils and Flames, resulting in a split series. The Devils took the first game on January 19, winning 2-1 in overtime. The two squads faced off again on March 12 at Prudential Center, with the Flames defeating the Devs 5-4, despite two late game goals by the Hughes brothers.
