The rivalry between the New Jersey Devils and Pittsburgh Penguins has over five decades of rich history, including the Devils' triumph in the 2001 Eastern Conference Finals. The teams have played in over 260 games, with New Jersey holding the all-time advantage.
The 2024-25 season featured four matchups between the Pens and Devils. In their first contest of the season, the Devs shut out the Penguins 3-0 on home ice. They faced off again on February 4, resulting in a Devils shootout victory. The Devils traveled to Pittsburgh on March 15 to face the Penguins, falling 7-3.
New Jersey and Pittsburgh compete in four games during the 2025-26 season, kicking off their series on November 8 at the Prudential Center. The Devils travel to Pennsylvania to play the Penguins in January and February before their final regular season matchup on April 9 in Newark.
