Please note these are all part time, event based positions with most shifts starting around 5:00PM and going until 10:00pm on weekdays and weekends

All candidates must be at least 18 years of age

Location: Prudential Center- Ford Tower (Corner of Mulberry St. & Lafayette St)

Time: 11AM-2PM & 4PM-7PM

  • Usher/Ticket Taker
    Job Position Summary:

    Usher/ Ticket Takers provide professional and exemplary customer service to all guests, employees, and the community at every event, in adherence with Prudential Center rules and regulations to ensure a safe and world class environment.

    Primary Duties:
    • Greeter/Internal Director – responsible for greeting guests properly in various locations of the building, directing them to desired locations, and ensuring proper crowd flow;
    • Ticket Taker – responsible for scanning tickets appropriately upon entry and ensuring that invalid tickets are not permitted into Prudential Center;
    • Usher – responsible for maintaining assigned sections of seats by checking the area before and after an event, only permitting the correct tickets, monitoring crowd behavior, and reporting various incidents or needs to the appropriate parties;
    • Escalator Attendant – responsible for pacing guests as they enter and exit the escalators to ensure the safety of our guests, being attentive to safety hazards, and reporting incidents or requesting assistance as needed;
    • Access Control – responsible for allowing only valid tickets or credentials into specific areas of the building, not permitting spirits to leave certain spaces, and scanning tickets and/or providing wristbands or stamps to guests when needed;
    • Giveaway Staff – responsible for distributing programs or other promotional items to guests during ingress, the event, or egress;
    • Fill In Staff/Breakers – all usher/ticket takers are expected to fill in any position as needed during any point of the event and will possibly become breakers during events to assist in giving co-workers breaks in various areas and positions around the building.
    Key Job Components:
    • Provides World-Class service to all guests, vendors, and employees at all times;
    • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with all employees and vendors;
    • Anticipates and responds professionally to guests’ needs, concerns and questions;
    • Checks assigned areas pre-and post event; proactively reports and addresses needs prior to doors opening and follow up to ensure issues are resolved;
    • Learns all arena policies, procedures, locations, and event specific information provided;
    • Recognizes/checks all ticket types and provides guests with friendly, accurate directions;
    • Monitors assigned sections and surrounding areas to identify issues, reports and notifies appropriate personnel, and ensures compliance with arena policies, cleanliness, and safety;
    • Adheres to all Ccompany policies and procedures, including uniform and appearance guidelines; (Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance that conveys professionalism at all times).
    • Communicates effectively, both in writing and verbally;
    • Works well with others, assists teammates, and performs and completes a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, without the loss of efficiency or composure within the guidelines & deadlines set by Guest Services guidelines;
    • As necessary handles tough, high-pressure situations while remaining calm and professional;
    • Completes other duties as assigned by Guest Services supervisors and managers.
    Qualifications:
    • High School diploma or GED required;
    • Prefer demonstrated experience with customer service and problem-solving;
    • Bilingual a plus, especially Spanish.
    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Availability : Must be available to work 70% of events each month, mandatory events as determined by management, and able to report for the following schedule:

    • Available to report by 5pm on weekdays (Monday through Friday);
    • Available all day every Saturday and Sunday;
    • Ability to work until 12:00am or later per event needs;
    • Available to work holidays as needed.

    Work Environment : This position requires that work be performed from in all concourse, seating bowl, and entrance locations at Prudential Center. Employees will be stationed next to exterior doors during winter months and should dress accordingly. Work may be in steep areas (approx. 60 feet high).

  • ABM Part-Time

    ABM is looking for responsible people that commit to their work and maintain the high level of service the client expects.

    All positions are for post event cleaner, perfect for someone with a day job looking for extra hours.

    All positions are to start as post event cleaner (Night hours) with possibility of moving into event hours, and into a team leader positions.

    Position is Part-time Seasonal
    • Hours vary per week depending on how many events are scheduled in the arena
    • Available to work overnight (8PM through 7AM)
    • Experience is preferred but not required
    • Employee must be able to work efficiently with little to no supervision.
    Minimum Requirements
    • Must be able to lift 25-75 pounds.
    • Must be able to pass basic background check
    • Must be able to withstand high altitude such as high sections in arena.
    • Must be able to go up and down stadium steps with ease.
    • Must be able to reach down and pick up trash and recyclables multiple times a day.
  • Retail Lead - New Jersey Devils

Our teams create a seamless shopping experience whether you're at home, at a game, or attending one of the world's biggest sporting events with online, mobile, and physical retail stores including flagship stores such as the NBA and NHL retail stores in New York City, professional sports stadium stores, college team stores, and live events such as the Kentucky Derby and golf’s Ryder Cup.     This position could be full or part-time depending on the specific needs of the property and will work a rotating, schedule including days, nights, and rotating weekends.

    The Seasonal Retail Associate will be expected to work a part-time schedule which can include days, nights, and weekends.

    General Duties and Responsibilities

    • Help execute a brand connection by ensuring fans enjoy a top notch shopping experience

  • Event Services Team
    Position Summary:

    Prudential Center and the New Jersey Devils are seeking passionate, hard-working, and energetic individuals to join the New Jersey Devils Event Services Team. This part-time, co-ed and interactive group will engage fans at all Devils home games, as well as non-game day events throughout the season.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    On Devils home games:

    • Working/operating the Little Devils Zone, 50/50 Raffle, and any other ancillary needs such as sponsor activations including (but not limited to):
    • Assist with Prospect Playground set up, maintenance, and break down during Devils home games, assist with customer inquiries regarding the zone and Kids Club, and interact with customers of all ages.
    • Actively sell, handle, and distribute 50/50 raffle tickets within Prudential Center at either a stationary kiosk, or as a roaming sales representative, prior to and during New Jersey Devils games.
    • Operate Devils mobile unit, assist with food drives, perform data collection, and execute post-game ticket sales experiences (shoot from the blue line, broomball).

    On non-game days:

    • Execute numerous events at the Prudential Center and off-site locations
    • Represent the New Jersey Devils at special events; viewing parties, clinics/camps, charity events, ticket sales events and promotional engagements. Assist event managers with events (i.e. setup, breakdown, taking photos).
    • Provide exceptional customer service.
    Educational Background Required:
    • High school diploma required;
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Must have a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
    • Must be self-confident, resilient and possess a high energy level and enthusiasm.
    • Prior experience in cash handling and customer service
    • Must have the ability to rise to the challenge and provide the hard work necessary to succeed;
    • Must have well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide variety of audiences, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Must be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
