NEWARK, NJ ( May 15, 2019) – The New Jersey Devils have announced details for the team’s official Draft Festival Presented by Bud Light, which will be held on Friday, June 21 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST at Championship Plaza and Edison Place, adjacent to Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. In anticipation of the team’s No. 1 overall selection in the 2019 NHL Draft, the Devils anticipate over 2,000 fans will attend the massive event; which will feature Bud Light activations, a 250 square-foot stage, 145 square-foot television, three hours of live programming hosted by New Jersey Devils alumni, visits from current Devils players Mackenzie Blackwood Kevin Rooney, and more.

Devils Launch “Road to the Draft” Marketing Campaign:
In response to Devils’ fan interest for NHL Draft-related content and insights, the team has launched its official “Road to the Draft” marketing campaign and microsite, newjerseydevils.com/draft, which will provide original and exclusive content and breaking news to the Devils fan community, including a 12-episode “Road to the Draft” podcast series featuring exclusive interviews with Devils staff, players and media personalities including recent episodes featuring John Hynes, Director of Amatuer Scouting Paul Castron, Cory Schneider and Andy Greene. Future episodes will focus on the work of the organization led by Executive Vice President/General Manager Ray Shero. Fans seeking to engage on social media with Devils’ “Road to the Draft” campaign may use the hashtag “#Devi1s” in social media posts.
Following the NHL Draft Lottery, and in response to interest in Season Ticket Memberships, the Devils Ticket Sales and Service team has launched a series of weekly events for current and prospective Season Ticket Members, featuring locker room tours, and intimate discussions current and former Devils players, Devils front office executives and more. The team recorded franchise-high RSVPs to a recent “Select a Seat” Open House event for prospective Season Ticket Members.

New Jersey Devils Draft Festival Presented by Bud Light:
The doors to the New Jersey Devils Draft Festival Presented by Bud Light will open at 6:00 p.m. EST for Devils Season Ticket Members and 6:30 p.m. EST for general admission. The Bud Knight will make a special appearance and Bud Light representatives will give out co-branded merchandise. In addition to themed food and drink specials at surrounding area restaurants, PJ Ryan’s, Redd’s Biergarten and Edison Ale House, the festivities will include a street hockey rink, giant Jenga, face painters and more. The Devils Den fan store will extend their store hours on the night of the draft until 10 p.m. EST, during which time it will take advance orders for custom jerseys.
