The New Jersey Devils and the Florida Panthers have faced off in the postseason twice, with Jersey's Team taking both series on their way to Eastern Conference titles. In the first round of the 2000 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Devils were dominant, sweeping their opponent before going on to win their second of three league championships. In 2012, the Panthers took the series to seven games before falling in the final matchup thanks to a pair of goals from Adam Henrique and one from Stephen Gionta.
In the 2022-23 and 2023-24 NHL seasons, the Devils won 2 of their 6 games against the Panthers.
The 2024-25 season features three matchups between the Devils and reigning 2024 Stanley Cup Champion Panthers. The first two games between these two teams are back-to-back on November 12 and 14 in South Florida. Their final matchup of the season is January 14 in Newark.
